Our story
Vijaya Sai Chemicals began in 1985 with one man, one unit and a belief that Hyderabad deserved good paint made close to home.
Our founder, Kotha Bikshapathi, was born in 1946 in Jalpally. After studying at polytechnic he worked as Marketing Manager at a local paint manufacturer, where he learned what painters and dealers really need. In 1985 he set up his own manufacturing unit at IDA Mallapur.
Trishul, our first brand, came in 1988. Varsha followed in 1991 and became the name most of our customers know us by. His sons and grandchildren run the business today, still from Hyderabad.
We also sell paint directly to homeowners and contractors through our retail partner APS Decors, run by the same family.
Milestones
- 1985Kotha Bikshapathi starts the manufacturing unit at IDA Mallapur.
- 1988Trishul, our first brand, is launched.
- 1991Varsha is launched and becomes our best-known brand.
- 1994We become an authorised reseller of HPCL.
- 2024Sheen Emulsion and Vartek Texture join the range.
- 2026A new range of luxury finishes is introduced.
Made at our own factory
Every Varsha and Trishul product is made at our unit in IDA Mallapur, Hyderabad. Making our own paint lets us control quality batch by batch and get stock to dealers across the city quickly.
Authorised HPCL reseller
Since 1994 we have been an authorised reseller of Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL). We buy MTO (mineral turpentine oil) from HPCL and supply it to painters, dealers and industry.
